One of the worst-kept secrets in the years leading up toBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewas that this movie would introduceAquaman(Jason Momoa),The Flash(Ezra Miller) andCyborg(Ray Fisher), who will eventually unite with Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) inJustice League. Sure enough, all three of those new characters were introduced in unique cameos, and during an interview withIGN, directorZack Snyderrevealed why he decided on Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg to round out thissuperheroteam.

“I thought long and hard about who to bring in, like who theJustice Leaguewould be made up [of], and it was really to me like those were the heavy hitters right now. I mean of course, there’s room for more, and I had to keep some back for the next little shock of awesomeness. But those guys felt like the guys that needed to surface.”
