True to their word, the studio has debuted the latest footage, which showcases all-new footage from this superhero adventure, set to arrive in theaters nationwide May 27.X-Men: Apocalypseis set 10 years after the events ofX-Men: Days of Future Pastand 20 years afterX-Men: First Class, taking place in the year 1983. And this latest trailer teases the arrival of the iconic Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god.Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant fromX-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants known asThe Four Horsemen, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign.
