Back in September, producerDeborah Snyderconfirmed thatproductiononWonder Womanwas set to begin in November, although an exact date was not given. While it still isn’t ultimately clear when principal photography may begin, it seems that it may happen soon, if we’re to believe cryptic tweets from producerGeoff Johns. On Monday, the producer tweeted to directorPatty Jenkins, stating “It’s THE DAY”. And yesterday, he sent out a photo from “Ricksmansworth England,” which is apparently “very very nice.” On Sunday, set photographerClay Enossent a photo from his flight while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and while he doesn’t specifically state that he’s going to London to work onWonder Woman, it certainly seems possible. If that wasn’t enough,Wonder Womanherself,Gal Gadot, released a photo from her morning workout earlier today.

Do all of these clues mean thatWonder Womanis shooting soon with production already underway? We can’t say for sure, but we do know the cast is starting to come together. Gal Gadot andChris Pine(Steve Trevor) are currently the only confirmed cast members thus far, but we reported in September thatSean BeanandEva Greenare being eyed to play the villains Ares and Circe. We also reported last week thatNicole Kidmanis in talks for an unspecified role that is rumored to beHyppolyta, Diana Prince’s birth mother.

Wonder Woman

Anotherrumorsurfaced in September that claimedInterstellarcinematographerHoyte Van Hoytemahas signed on, but he later denied that he was involved with the project. That report also claimed that part of the production will take place in Basilicata, Italy, which has been the home to big-budget productions such as the upcomingBen-HurandMel Gibson’s 2004 Biblical epicThe Passion of the Christ. Still, the Italy location has not been confirmed, so we’ll have to wait and see ifWonder Womanwill eventually shift from London, which was confirmed this summer, to Italy.

While there is no “Ricksmanworth England,” asGeoff Johns' photo claims, there is a Rickmanworth, England, which, ironically, is situated between both Pinewood Studios and Leavesden Studios. It’s possible thatWonder Womanmay be shooting in one of these iconic studios, or perhaps both, but we don’t know for sure. If shooting is starting soon, then hopefully Warner Bros. will start confirming more cast members and releasing new story details, to combat the dearth of rumors that are currently out there. One such rumor claims the story will be told in three different settings, present day, World War I and on Diana’s home island of Themyscira.
