Afterregretting sharing too much informationabout his role in the upcoming horror-comedy sequel,Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,Willem Dafoe has now decided…to share even more information. Speaking recently withEmpire(who have also unveiled a new image of Dafoe’s character), the actor reveals that he will portray Wolf Jackson, an actor who was known for playing a fictional cop, ‘Frank Hardballer,’ while he was alive,who becomes head of the Afterlife Crimes Unit in death.
Dafoe says that his part in theBeetlejuicefollow-up is “not a normal role, and while that may be the case, it certainly sounds like an intriguing one…
“It’s not a normal role. The most important thing for me was to find the tone. It had to be rooted but it also had to be free enough that you could play with it.”
Dafoe continued, revealing that he took his cues on how to nail the tone of the characterfrom returning star Michael Keaton, who will reprise the role of the mischievous ghost more than three decades after the first outing.
“I take my cue off of him. You take your cue off of the world.”
