It has already been confirmed that the upcoming Netflix TV seriesMarvel’s Daredevilis a part of theMarvel Cinematic Universe, but while we wait for the series to debut on April 10, many fans are wondering if the show and its characters will eventually cross over to the big screen. Series starCharlie Coxrevealedback in February that he wouldn’t turn down the chanceto appear in the firstPhase Threemovie,Captain America: Civil War, which starts shooting this month. During a new interview withIGN,Charlie Coxteased that he has been reading theCivil Warcomic books, but he hasn’t been officially asked to join the cast quite yet.
“I’ve been readingCivil War- and Daredevil does appear in that. And look - again, just to clarify - I have not been called about that. I haven’t been invited to that party! But it would be very very cool. Just to be in the background, saying cool stuff every now and then. It would be cool to be with all those guys.”
Captain America: Civil Waris also believed to feature the first appearance of the new Spider-Man in theMarvel Cinematic Universe, although that has yet to be confirmed.Captain America: Civil Warcenters on both Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) who become divided over the Superhero Registration Act, where anyone with super powers must register themselves with the government, to become a part of an international police force. The comic features a number of iconic Marvel characters, and since production has not yet started, Marvel could surely unveil a number of surprise appearances from iconic comic book characters, but we’ll have to wait and see. When asked who he would like Daredevil to team up with inCaptain America: Civil War, should he join the cast,Charlie Coxsaid he would like to fight alongside Black Widow, although it might be awkward.
“Black Widow’s an ex-girlfriend of Matt’s. So…that would be awkward.”
