John Wick became a surprising franchise after the first film’s massive success in 2014. The story followed a retired hitman (Keanu Reeves) returning to a world he left behind. This is after the death of his late wife, and her parting gift of a puppy was killed in front of him. Such a straightforward premisestruck a chord with audience membersacross the globe. Its story had an emotional connection with viewers that carried over three films. NowJohn Wick: Chapter 4is getting ready to arrive in theaters.

John Wick Needs to Train Ana De Armas’s Character

Not much is known about theBallerinabesides De Armas’s casting in the lead role. The premise will follow De Armas’s character hunting down her family’s murderer. Mr. Wick is rumored to make a brief appearance in the film. No matter how short, this appearance can have a small character arc. De Armasalluded to a fight sceneoccurring between her character and Keanu Reeves. That fight scene could be the start of a beautiful partnership of assassins. With no details known aboutBallerina,there is a realistic way John could fit into the story.

Ballerinawill be a revenge story like the originalJohn Wickfilm. This means De Armas will be hunting down numerous assassins. John Wick could be another obstacle that she has to face. The story could start with Wick being hired by the true villain ofBallerina. However, depending on the events ofChapter 4, that villain could be someone other than the High Table. Once Wick and De Armas fight in the film, it could lead to them realizing the bigger threat in play. Both characters gaining respect for one another could lead to a rather exciting team-up. Their team-up also holds the promise of classicJohn Wick-style action sequences. Wick could also become a mentor to De Armas’s character.

What Are the Rules of the Continental Hotel in John Wick_

Having these characters become a team could help to expand theJohn Wickworld. Their union/team-up could become more of a mentorship-type relationship. His appearance in this assassin underworld could be applied in another spin-off. The world ofJohn Wickis expanding in a television series. TitledThe Continental, the series covers different Continental hotels for assassins worldwide. Reeves, as the titular assassin, could make an appearance in this series. Not knowing when Ballerina takes place, this “cameo” could occur before or during the otherJohn Wickfilms.

John Wick Could Appear in The Continental Television Series

The Continentalis set to be a prequel series residing in theJohn Wickuniverse. The series is set to only consist of three episodes. Its story will tell how a younger Winston (Ian McShane) becomes its manager. Mel Gibson is set to star in the series as a character known as Cormac. Nothing is known about this character besides a previously revealed behind-the-scenes image. One can assume that he will be a mentor to a younger and inexperienced Winston. Cormac can morph Winston into the mentor audiences have met in theJohn Wickfranchise.

Being three episodes leaves opportunities for original franchise characters to appear. This means a younger version of John Wick could arrive. Reeves could emerge as a younger and more lethal version of the character. Withde-agingtechnology as efficient as it is now, Wick’s appearance could make sense in the series. A core element of the show will be the Mafia/High-Table’s rise to power. During one of these episodes, The High Table could need a special “up-and-coming assassin” to take care of business. His appearance could simply occur within the final episode of the season. It also holds the promise of a classic and brutal fight scene for which the franchise is known.

The ending of that episode could also be a perfect set-up for more seasons. Winston (played by actor Colin Woodell in the series) can take John under his wing. Winston can make him the character audiences initially fell in love with. While this may be a brief appearance, it also leaves potential for other seasons. That means that John Wick’s story could continue past a brief cameo. Introducing the character inThe Continentalleaves room for serious possibilities. What will start as a continental origin story can change into a John Wick origin story. No matter howChapter 4ends, The John Wick story continues to have a bright future ahead.
