Action starWesley Snipeshas revealed that he wrote two different scripts for a potentialBlade 4, which have now been reworked into other projects. In an interview withComicbook.com, Snipes revealed that both ideas would have fit nicely into the world of the Daywalker, but now that Marvel Studios has rebooted the franchise and will add the character to the MCU, Snipes and his team will instead rework them.

“We actually wrote two scripts. We have two versions of a story that would’ve fit well into the Blade world. But since we didn’t go that route and we didn’t have the knock on the door again, we tweaked them and now we use them for something else. So, I got two Blade killers.”

Wesley Snipes is fondly remembered for playing the Marvel character (in the first and second installments, at least), with many hoping that he would be asked to reprise the role asBladeis folded into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, this is not what happened, with Oscar winner Mahershala Ali due to play Blade in a future MCU outing.

Despite this, Wesley Snipes has not entirely given up hope that he could return as the beloved vampire hunter in the future.

“Never say never. Long as I’m healthy and in shape, I can rock with them. Yeah, as far as my predictions on if something like that happened in future, I don’t know. I don’t know. It seems to me if it would’ve happened, it would’ve happened already. But hey, never say never.”

With theMCUnow neck deep in the madness of the multiverse, and the likes of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their respective Spider-Men, it’s possible that Snipes could be back despite the upcomingBladereboot.

It’s currently unknown what the ideas behind the two scripts forBlade 4are, but it’s sure to disappoint fans of the actor that a fourth outing for his version of the character could have happened. Still, with theBladestar planning to rework the ideas and release them as separate projects, it will be interesting to watch Snipes’ career and wonder if any of his upcoming movies started life as a fourthBladeadventure.
