While the new all-femaleGhostbustershas not sat well with some fans, we’re sure no one was as upset about it as The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. New survaliance footage taken from the monster’s home shows that the first trailer released had the man feeling very suicidal. In fact, you may want to shield your eyes during the final few seconds of this snuff footage. It not only shows Puft taking his own life, but what happens to his remains is the most shocking moment of all.
Yes,Paul Feighas divided a nation with his 2016 Ghostbusters reboot, which completely reimagines this franchise in a new universe where the originalGhostbustersnever existed. While Slimer will return, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is sitting this one out. He doesn’t seem to mind that. In fact, when he first sits down to watch the Ghostbusters sneak peek, he appears to be in awe. And the theme song clearly pulls at his nostalgia strings.

But it’s not long before he’s rolling his eyes atKate McKinnon’s hat gag, and groaning atMelissa McCarthyandKristen Wiigas they attempt to decide who goes first as they head into battle against some evil Haints. While some fans love this trailer, it’s certainly racked up its fair share of haters. And The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man may be the biggest one. Actually, he doesn’t seem to hate the trailer as much as it pushes him past the edge of depression.
On theOfficial Ghostbusters Youtubepage, the teaser trailer has gotten 192,590 up votes compared to the 454,844 down votes it has accumulated in the 13 days since its release. Another trailer will probably be released in the next two months, and you can look for Sony to change some elements. The International trailer went so far as to add moreChris Hemsworth, who plays the girls' secretary Kevin, but that didn’t really help matters.

The story centers on Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) andAbby Yates(Melissa McCarthy), who, years ago, wrote a book that posited ghosts do in fact exist. The plot picks up with Erin acquiring a teaching position at the prestigious Columbia University, but she is laughed out of academia once word of her book surfaces. At the same time, Abby is working with a new partner,Jillian Holtzman(Kate McKinnon), just as a new slew of ghosts begin to invade New York City. Erin ends up joining forces with Abby and Jillian, along with a new partner Patty (Leslie Jones), to save the Big Apple from these ghosts.
Fans of the original can expect a few big surprises.Slimerwill be back for a cameo. And there will be a new version of the Ghostbusters theme, which you may hear in the trailer,w hich we’ve included here in case you missed it the first time. Take a look, and prepare for a gruesome cameo from two of the franchise’s other favorite villains at the very end.
