The movie is currently working through the post-production process, with less than six months until it hits theaters nationwide.HeroicHollywoodclaims that Warner Bros. is making a very strong request of directorZack Snyder. They want to see a whole lot more Batman, and a lot less Superman in this upcomingsuperhero drama.
The rumor goes onto state thatBen Affleckis phenomenal as Bruce Wayne. He is said to be blowingHenry Cavill’s Clark Kent out of the water. This is something we’ve heard before, with inside sources claiming that Warner Bros. wants to move quickly on aBatman trilogy, thatBen Affleckwill co-write, direct and star in. At this time, that has not been confirmed by Warner Bros. The firstUntitled Batman Rebootis said to be happening before 2020.
Batman is being called the crowned jewel in the DC Universe. He has his own popular video game series in Arkham, and Warner Bros. also has the animatedThe LEGO Batman Movieon the way. Batman is also appearing inSuicide Squad, serving as the connective tissue between that movie and the rest of the DCEU. The Dark Knight has much more value than Superman at this point, and it makes sense that he might get a little bit more run time inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, no matter how loudly Superman fans want to deny that fact.
Ben Affleckbrings the one-two punch of being a very accomplished actor and a much sought after director with back to back hitsArgoandGone Girlin recent years. He is one of the biggest movie stars on the planet. Simply put, Warner Bros. sees Batman andBen Affleckas a potent combination, one that will bring a lot of butts to seats. There is also the added fact thatBen Affleckwas able to bring in hisArgoscreenwriterChris Terrio, who has been highly praised for his work onBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, especially by the cast.
On the flip side of things,Henry Cavillhasn’t proven himself a box office draw outside of the cape. His recent Warner Bros. outingThe Man from U.N.C.L.E.was the fourth biggest bomb of the summer.
