While we knowHarrison Fordis set to return as the iconic archaeologist inIndiana Jones 5, we still have just under three years until that big screen adventure hits theaters. While we wait to see what Indy has in store for fans on the big screen, an enterprising filmmaker decided to make his own animated version of this iconic character. This 100-second short is more than just an animated fan film, it serves as the opening sequence for a potential animated series.
Dutch artistPatrick Schoenmakerput together this 100-second fan film, which was posted by theYouTubechannel Frame Order, that shows what some of Indy’s animated adventures may look like. While there is no voice over dialogue in the short, there are cameos from iconic characters such asMarion Ravenwood, Short-Round and Marcus Brody, along with some Nazi villains. The filmmaker even opens his film with a shot of a mountain, which has been traditionally used to segue from the Paramount Pictures logo. Here’s the official description of the YouTube video below.
“Famous archaeologistDr. Indiana Jonesis on a quest of a lifetime, but this time he is fully animated in this passion project by life long fan and artistPatrick Schoenmaker. TheIndiana Jones franchisehas spawned four feature films and the live action TV seriesThe Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, which starredSean Patrick Flanneryas Indy and ran for three seasons.
