Filming has been under way since late April, when we got our first look atTom Cruiseand his co-starAnnabelle Wallis. As production continues, we have even more photos ofTom CruiseandAnnabelle Walliswho are seen springing into action.

The photos surfaced on variousTwitterpages, featuringTom CruiseandAnnabelle Wallisgoing on the run from unseen enemies. There is very little we know about the scene itself, except both actors are seen running from someone, or something. It’s certainly possible that both stars were running fromSofia Boutella’s title character, but we don’t know for certain.

Thought safely entombed in a crypt deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient queen (Sofia Boutella}) whose destiny was unjustly taken from her, is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension. Tom Cruiseis reportedly playing aspecial forcessoldier who teams with an archaeologist (Annabelle Wallis), although those character details have yet to be confirmed. Sofia Boutella, who had abreakthrough rolein last year’sKingsman: The Secret Service, is playing the Mummy. Thesupporting castincludesJurassic WorldandNew GirlstarJake Johnsonsigned on for a role in March, which was specifically written for him. The actor will play a member of the military with ties toTom Cruise’s unnamed character. There have been rumors thatRussell Crowe’s character could have his own spinoff. There have previously been reports that the movie centers on Navy SEALS in Iraq, but that was never confirmed.

Alex Kurtzmanis directing theMummy Reboot, working from a script byJon Spaihts, withChris MorganandSean Danielproducing this action-adventure thriller. This movie follows 2014’sDracula Untold, which ended with a prologue that brought its vampire into present day as part of this sprawling cinematic universe.
