The horror outing is perfect for anyone looking for something beyond bleak in its approach, and follows Aidan and Mia, two siblings who have just lost their mother. Their father, Richard, has found love elsewhere, and he intends to make the children bond with their new stepmother, Grace. They retreat for the holidays to a remote cabin, but Richard receives a phone call that forces him to leave for work for a few days. Aidan, Mia, and Grace stay by themselves in the cabin, where something starts haunting them.
The 2019 psychological thriller is set to be added toTubi’s library on June 1, giving fans of the genre an opportunity to stream one of the best and most upsetting movies of the 2010s for free. They just have to stick around when the ads pop up. Which, considering the bleakness ofThe Lodge, could be a welcome reprieve. Per the film’s official plot synopsis:
