Supernaturalwriter Eric Kripke is still trying his hardest to bring starJeffrey Dean Morganto the world ofThe Boys. Speaking withE! News, Kripke (who is the showrunner behindThe Boys) revealed that he and Morgan are in constant contact, and are currently trying to work out a way for Morgan to joinThe Boysin the now confirmed fourth season.
“Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a superfan of the show, so he and I are talking. We’re trying to figure out something for season four. Nothing finalized yet, but he and I are chatting and e-mailing and seeing it we can make it work with his busy schedule. So, stay tuned on that.”

Jeffrey Dean Morgan starred as John Winchester inSupernatural, the father of Sam and Dean Winchester played by Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles respectively. Now that Ackles has joinedThe Boysas the old-world superhero Soldier Boy, Kripke would love the chance to reunite all three of theSupernaturalstars in the Amazon series. Adding that he would forJared Padaleckito join the fray as well.
“I would put Jared on the show in a heartbeat. I mean, he’s really busy with his empire over there in Austin, but if it was willing to play, I would put him on the show in a second.”
This is far from the first time that Kripke has revealed his intentions of adding Jeffrey Dean Morgan toThe Boys, with the writer explaining that it is simply scheduling, and Morgan’s commitment toThe Walking Deadfranchise, that is keeping him from joining Amazon’s comic book series. “The question has been asked,” Kripke said previously. “Sad for me, happy for him: He’s currently the lead, along with Lauren Cohan, on The Walking Dead spin-off. So, schedule-wise, I don’t know. We might still remain star-crossed, unfortunately, because I did ask. We had a role come up, and my first question was, ‘Well, is Jeffrey available?'”
