In just a few short days, thenew trailerforSuicide Squadwill debut during a new special on The CW Network entitledDC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, which invites viewers behind the scenes of the exciting new movies coming out of the DC Films universe. Before we get our first look at the trailer, directorDavid Ayerand several cast members took to their social media accounts to reveal new posters for this highly-anticipated superhero adventure, arriving in theaters August 5. These one-sheets feature artistic depictions of each main character in this super-villain lineup, revealing that they are all the “worst heroes ever.”
Suicide Squadstarted shooting this past April in Toronto. The all-star ensemble cast includesWill Smith(Deadshot),Margot Robbie(Harley Quinn),Jared Leto(The Joker),Jai Courtney(Boomerang),Joel Kinnaman(Rick Flagg),Cara Delevingne(Enchantress),Viola Davis(Amanda Waller),Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje(Killer Croc), andJay Hernandez(El Diablo).Scott EastwoodandRay Olubowalealso appear in the movie, but their characters have not been revealed. Created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru for DC Comics in 1959, theSuicide Squadfollows a group of super villains tasked by the U.S. Government to pull off a secret mission. The catch is that is will be nearly impossible, and most of them, if not all, will return in body bags. If they make it out alive, they will be rewarded their freedom.
