Star Wars Celebration may have unveiled many new projects coming to screens in the future, but right now, a new animated series is heading to Disney+ and Disney Junior in the form ofStar Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. The new trailer for the series brings theStar Warsuniverse to a whole new generation of potential fans with its cute and colorful characters who are guided by the familiar wisdom of Yoda. Check out the trailer below.
Young Jedi Adventurespitches itself at a much younger audience than many otherStar Warsshows, and according to the synopsis:

“Set during the High Republic era, centuries before the events of the main Star Wars films, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures follows a group of younglings as they learn the ways of the Force, including compassion, self-discipline, team work and patience, to become Jedi Knights.”
Seemingly taking its template from any number of previous Disney Junior offerings, there is something instantly familiar about the look and feel of the series, and while this probably isn’t one that mainstreamStar Warsfans will be rushing to add to their watch list, it should certainly appeal to its younger demographic.
The series features the voice talents of Jamaal Avery Jr., Emma Berman, Juliet Donenfeld, Dee Bradley Baker, Jonathan Lipow, and Piotr Michael. The series will premiere, appropriately, on May 4.

The Star Wars Franchise Continues to Expand Into New Areas
While the originalStar Warstrilogy was made for a specific target audience of sci-fi fans who probably weren’t that young, the franchise has grown to be something that now appeals to many more than its original demographic. However, this does not mean that there are not many future projects still made for all theStar Warsnerds out there.
The last week has seen the announcement fora wave of newStar Warsmoviesthat will see the timeline of the franchise being extended by thousands of years and gives theStar Warssaga a massive, uncharted area to explore in the coming years and beyond. While much of the franchise to date has been centered on the story of Luke Skywalker and other characters of the original trilogy, that is set to change with a prequel movie looking at the first Jedi order and a new sequel that takes place 15 years after the events ofThe Rise of Skywalker.
While most of the new projects announced at Star Wars Celebration are just heading into development, new adventures are coming in the more immediate future to keep fans happy while they wait. This includes theconclusion ofThe Mandalorianseason 3in the coming week, the arrival ofAhsokain August, and other shows such asThe Acolyte, Skeleton Crew, andAndorseason 2 just over the horizon. Whether this turns out to be too muchStar Warsis something fans will decide, but for now, the idea ofStar Warsfatigue is not up for consideration.
