Earlier this month, we reportedthat the first full-length trailer forStar Wars: The Force Awakenswill debut on the first day ofStar WarsCelebration on Thursday, April 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The trailer will debut in theaters withAvengers: Age of Ultron, arriving May 1. Today, the long wait is over as the trailer has debuted online.
The story takes place 30 years afterStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, and we met a few of the new characters in the 88-second teaser trailer that arrived back in November.John Boyega(Finn),Daisy Ridley(Finn) andOscar Isaac(Poe Dameron) lead the new cast members, alongside franchise favorites such asHarrison Ford(Han Solo),Mark Hamill(Luke Skywalker) andCarrie Fisher(Princess Leia). Other new cast members areAdam Driver,Domhnall Gleeson,Lupita Nyong’oandMax von Sydow, but their roles have not been confirmed at this time
