Earlier today, we reported thatStar Wars: The Force Awakenstook in a whopping $57 million from Thursday preview screenings, beating the four-year record held byHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. Now it seems yet another record set byHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2is about to fall, withVarietyreporting that Disney is estimating a $100 million opening day forStar Wars: The Force Awakens. This is putting the film on track to be the biggest movie of all time. As expected!

IfStar Wars: The Force Awakensdoes crack the $100 million mark in just one day, it would be more than enough to topHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2’s opening day tally of $91.1 million. Disney’s projections putStar Wars: The Force Awakensat around $200 million for the three-dayopening weekend, which wouldn’t be enough to breakJurassic World’s record of $208.8 million. However,Deadline’sindustry projectionsput the opening day at somewhere between $130 million and $145 million, with the three-day opening weekend between $250 million and $275 million. Here’s what Disney’s executive VP of distribution,Dave Hollishad to say in a statement.

“We are obviously very encouraged by the record-breaking presales forStar Wars: The Force Awakens, but there are literally millions ofticketsavailable for this weekend, and exhibitors have a lot of flexibility in terms of capacity and increasing the number of shows based on demand.”

Disney also revealed today thatStar Wars: The Force Awakenshad taken in $72.7 million in two days from 44 international markets.Star Wars: The Force Awakenshas set single-day records in the U.K., Germany, Sweden and Norway.Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which cost a whopping $200 million to produce, opens in nearly all other markets today, except for India and Greece (Dec. 24) and China (January 9).

With these massive numbers rolling in,Star Wars: The Force Awakensmay have a legitimate shot at taking down the biggest movie of all time, 2009’sAvatar. DirectorJames Cameron’s blockbuster still holds the records for the biggest domestic gross of all time ($760.5 million) and worldwide gross ($2.7 billion).Star Wars: The Force Awakensobviously has a long way to go before it can break those records, but at this pace, it’s certainly possible.
