The voice cast ofSpider-Man: Across the Spider-Versemight never get the chance to play their characters in the live-action format, but some new fan art teases what that outcome might look like. In 2018, the world of the superhero genre received a pleasant surprise as the Marvel Cinematic Universe was going through one of its best moments, and DC was still trying to compete. Sony Pictures showed why Spider-Man is one of the most popular characters in the history of comic books, and also why the animated format allows stories to be explored in a way that would be impossible to do in live-action.Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versebecame one of the most acclaimed productions within the genre, and has built one of the most successful franchises in the history of the arachnid hero.
Five years after that release, Sony doubled down and releasedAcross the Spider-Verse, the continuation of the story of Miles Morales, which not only brings back the hero played by Shameik Moore and his two friends, Jake Johnson’s Peter B. Parker and Hailee Steinfeld’s Gwen Stacey, but also introduces a large number of new Spider-People from across the multiverse. Some of them, like Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara andDaniel Kaluuya’s Spider-Punk, have already become fan favorites, mostly due to the incredible performances of their actors.

Now, Instagram artistArifinity_has turned the stars of the film into their characters, imagining what they would look like in live-action:

What to Expect From Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Versewas the perfect introduction to Miles Morales' story, showing how he obtains his powers, how he learns to use them helped by other Spider-Heroes from alternate realities, and all while the multiverse begins to crack. InAcross the Spider-Verse, Miles has to deal with his double life as a student and hero, but he feels alone and unaccompanied since his friends returned to their respective realities. Mired in his own chaos, he discovers that an elite group of Spider-People led by Miguel O’Hara exists to prevent the collapse of the multiverse. Miles wants to join, but Miguel forbids it, revealing that Miles goes against ‘canon’ and never should have become Spider-Man in the first place.
Miles manages to escape back to his world…or so he thinks. InBeyond the Spider-Verse, the third and final part of the saga, Miles will have to find a way to escape from the reality where he fell, which is dominatedby a seemingly evil version of himself, and get to his world in time to stop The Spot, and save his father from Miguel’s determination to ensure the “canon event” takes place.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Versewas supposed to hit theaters in early 2024, but it was removed from Sony Pictures' schedule and currently has no release date. The studio’s nextSpider-Manfilms to be released areMadame Web,Kraven the HunterandVenom 3.
