That’s a wrap! In just over two weeks, many of us will be sitting in a movie theater watching a brandnew Star Wars movie. It is hard to match the excitement that we all felt heading intoStar Wars: The Force Awakenslast year, butStar Wars: Rogue Oneappears to be coming pretty close. Now, after months of rumors, set photos, trailers, reshoots and anticipation,Rogue One: A Star Wars Storyhas officially wrapped post-production, meaning the movie is totally and completely done.

The news came courtesy of Industrial Light and Magic’s lead visual effects artist on the movie,Todd Vaziri. He took to his personalTwitteraccount today to make the announcement thatStar Wars: Rogue Onehad totally wrapped in a way pretty much everyStar Warsfan can appreciate. He tweeted out a picture of Admiral Ackbar fromStar Wars: Return of the Jediwith the caption “It’s a wrap!” Perfect. He also made a little Tie Fighter using some letters and symbols on his keyboard.

Fairly late into the process of gettingRogue One: A Star Wars Storymade, it was announced that some apparently significant reshoots needed to be done on the movie. Reports varied, ranging from saying they were relatively standard, toGareth Edwards' initial cut of the movie being a total mess. That had some fans worried, but all of the footage and marketing material Lucasfilm has released for the movie have put minds at ease and now the general consensus seems to be that everyone is very excited for the very first everStar Wars spin-off movie.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Storyhas very high expectations placed on it, both in terms of quality and box office, just by virtue of the fact that it is aStar Warsmovie. Also, Disney has their own set of high standards they have placed on themselves at this point. The movie is currently on track to make around $130 million opening weekend, but box office tracking has been somewhat unreliable for big movies lately, so it could easily top that. If it does come in at $130 million, Disney and Lucasfilm would still be very happy and it would be one of the biggest opening weekends of 2016. But with the tremendous pre-sale numbers, $130 million is starting to seem a little low.

Rogue Onetells the story of how theRebelsgot their hands on the Death Star plans, as teased in the opening crawl inStar Wars: A New Hope. The movie starsFelicity Jones,Mads Mikkelsen,Riz Ahmed,Ben Mendelsohn,Alan Tudyk,Diego Luna,Jiang Wen,Donnie Yen,Wen JiangandForest Whitaker, in addition to featuring Darth Vader, who is once again being voiced byJames Earl Jones.Rogue One: A Star Wars Storyhits theaters on December 16 and tickets are on sale now.
