For those familiar with theArchie Comics, this TV series adaptation takes things to a new level. The story kicks off with a new school year, with the Riverdale community reeling from the recent, tragic death of high school golden boy Jason Blossom. And nothing feels the same
Along with this new trailer, The CW Network also released new posters and photos for theseries premiere, which is set to air Thursday, January 26 at 9 PM ET. The network will shift its current Thursday 8 PM series,DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, to Tuesday nights at 9 PM ET, directly followingThe Flashat 8 PM ET, giving DC Comics fans a superhero double-header on Tuesday nights.Riverdalewill be paired with The CW’s long-running seriesSupernatural, which will move to its new time slot on Thursday’s at 8 PM also on January 26.
Archie Andrewsis still the all-American teen, but the summer’s events made him realize that he wants to pursue a career in music - not follow in his dad’s footsteps-despite the sudden end of his forbidden relationship withRiverdale’s young music teacher, Ms. Grundy.
