Rebel Wilsonrevealed thatPitch Perfect 4is currently in development. The original film, released in 2012, transformed the landscape of a cappella on the big screen and led to a series of successful sequels in 2015 and 2017, as well as a 2022 series adaptation,Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.
Wilson, who became a standout star playing Fat Amy across all three films and the Peacock series, shared her insights during an interview withBBC Radio 2. Thinking about the possibility of the series' expansion, she expressed a mixture of excitement and realism. Wilson said:

Hopefully, there’s a fourth one in the works. There is one being developed. I mean, I know we’re older now, so I don’t exactly know what the storyline’s going to be. I guess they’ve got to get the script right first, which is the age-old dilemma.
Fans are eager to see how the Barden Bellas will adapt to new challenges and stages in their lives. The franchise has consistently delivered a mix of laughs and musical entertainment, and the development of a fourth movie can surely offer more of the same.

Peacock Reverses Course on Bumper in Berlin Despite Initial Renewal Plans
Perfect Pitchfans were shocked when Peacock’s Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin did not return for a second season, despite earlier promises of renewal.Initially greenlit for more episodes in January 2023, the show faced an abrupt cancelation by September.
This reversal, as explained by Peacock and Universal, was due in part to the ripple effects of the industry-wide strikes by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA).

The strikes created significant disruptions across various productions, with “Bumper in Berlin” being no exception.According to Universal, the series faced insurmountable production delays, compounded by the work stoppage, making it impossible to meet the previously scheduled release date. Notably, production for the second season hadn’t even kicked off when the writers first initiated the strike.
Why Pitch Perfect Is the Best College Series
Pitch Perfect may not focus on academics, but Barden University still plays an overall role in the film’s events and legacy.
During aninterview with MovieWeb, series star Adam DeVine was initially optimistic about “Bumper in Berlin’s” future. The actor said:

“Well, I don’t know about seven seasons of it, but I would like to do another season of it, for sure.I really enjoyed doing it. And we only did six episodes, so it’s only such a small amount, especially for a series. So I would, I’d like to be more in the 20-episode range. I think that would be good enough to tell the full arc of a Bumper story.”
Susan Rovner, Chairman of Entertainment Content at NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, praised the series and expressed her excitement for the work done by Megan Amram, Elizabeth Banks, and Max Handelman. The exec said:

“We knew fans of the Pitch Perfect franchise were going to sing the praises of Bumper in Berlin and enjoy seeing a new side of Adam Devine’s character.Along with our partners at UTV, Megan Amram, Elizabeth Banks, and Max Handelman crafted an incredibly unique and charming story with new takes on iconic songs. We can’t wait to dive further into this new hit with Peacock audiences.”
