‘Reacher’s Season 3 Premise, Explained
Reacher’s third season is based on Lee Child’s 2003 novelPersuader, primarily set in Boston and Maine. This marks a different locale than Season 2, which mostly took place in New York and Washington, D.C. Aside from the location change in Season 3 ofthe hit Prime Video original series, the trailer reveals Reacher’s next mission.After meeting with his superiors at a motel swimming pool, Reacher is persuaded to go undercover to investigate a potential drug smuggler named Zachary Beck (Anthony Michael Hall).
In the trailer, Special Agent for the DEA, Sarah Duffy (Sonya Cassidy) states, “Mr. Reacher, we’re looking into the owner of a rug import business called Bizarre Bazaar,” to which Reacher retorts, “Let me guess, the DEA thinks he’s in business with bad people.” Reacher reluctantly agrees to go undercover to infiltrate Bizarre Bazaar to rescue a DEA informant from being executed. As Reacher untangles a vast criminal web relating to Bizarre Bazaar, he discovers that a haunting figure from his past is involved.
‘Reacher’s New Season 3 Characters, Explained
Once Reacher agrees to go undercover to save a DEA informant from certain death, he meets his new team members. But before doing so, Reacher is asked if he knows an unnamed bad guy and is given a photo to ID the perpetrator. “I thought I killed him years ago,” laments Reacher, before a flashback reveals the assailant killed a woman close to Reacher.

Perhaps the easiest moment to miss in the trailer comes whenReacher and Sarah share a romantic kiss, mixing business with pleasure with potentially hazardous consequences. Whether Sarah is a pawn in Beck’s scheme or has genuine feelings for Reacher is an intriguing development in Season 3.
