TheStar Wars: The Force Awakens trailerlaunch also coincided with tickets going on sale around the globe. Several theater chains are participating in a massive marathon, where moviegoers will be able to see all sevenStar Warsmovies. Despite previous reports, the first six movies will not be shown in 3D, butStar Wars: The Force Awakenswill in be presented in the immersive format. LucasFilm also debuted anew posteryesterday, which features a bunch of characters such as Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac),Han Solo(Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) and the beloved ball droid BB-8.

This one-sheet gave us our first look at the new Death Star, which we get to see put to action in the latest trailer. Merchandise that debuted last month revealed that this nefarious space station is known as the Starkiller Base, and the posting showed that this base is much different than the Death Star from the originalStar Warstrilogy. The name Starkiller is actually an homage to Luke Skywalker, since the character was originally named Luke Starkiller in early script drafts forStar Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. This space station will serve as the headquarters for General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and The First Order.
One character who hasn’t been seen in any of the posters, photos or footage thus far isMark Hamill’s Luke Skywalker. There have been several rumors regarding Luke Skywalker throughout the past two years, some claiming that he has gone into exile followingStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, and others claiming that his original lightsaber, which was found in the desert, sends new heroes Rey and Finn on their heroic journey. Unfortunately, this new trailer doesn’t feature Luke Skywalker either, so it’s likely that we won’t learn too much about Luke Skywalker and his plight, or get to see what he looks like, untilStar Wars: The Force Awakenshits theaters on December 18.

ProducerKathleen Kennedydid offer a tantalizing tidbit earlier this month, revealing thatStar Wars: The Force Awakens,Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the JediandStar Wars: Episode IXall revolve around Skywalker’s family.
