Comic-Con 2016 is in full swing today, following last night’s preview night screenings. One of the biggest panels in Hall H on this first day of the con let out just a few hours ago, with fans getting a new look at the highly-anticipated true story adaptationSnowden. StarsJoseph Gordon-Levitt,Shailene WoodleyandZachary Quintowere joined by directorOliver Stone, making his first ever appearance at SDCC. The stars and director revealed the new trailer to the 7,000 fans in Hall H, and now we have the trailer to share with you right here, in case you couldn’t make the trek to San Diego.

Deadlinereports that, during the Hall H panel,Oliver Stonewas asked about the new Pokemon Go phenomenon, which many have criticized for the app’s invasive methods. The director didn’t pull any punches when asked what he thought about the game, which he called a method of “surveillance capitalism.” Here’s what he had to say below.

“It’s not funny. [It’s] a new level of invasion. You’ll see a new form of frankly a robot society. It’s what they call totalitarianism.”

The script, whichOliver Stoneco-wrote withKieran Fitzgerald, is based on the booksThe Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted ManbyLuke HardingandTime of the OctopusbyAnatoly Kucherena. The latter book mainly deals with former information analyst Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition to potentially face jail time for leaking classified information.Edward Snowden’s story was previously told in the Oscar-winning documentaryCitizenfour.

Shailene Woodley,Nicolas Cage,Zachary Quinto,Timothy Olyphant,Rhys Ifans,Melissa Leo,Tom Wilkinson,Scott EastwoodandJoely Richardsonround out the supporting cast for this highly-anticipated drama, which could be a contender for the Best Picture Oscar race. The movie was originally slated for release on Christmas Day 2015, but it was later pushed to August 03, 2025 and then to its current date July 30, 2025, where it will go up againstBridget Jones' BabyandThe Woods.
