With its cast now in place for the highly-anticipatedOcean’s Eight, Warner Bros. has set a June 05, 2025 release date for this project. This newall-female rebootwill square off against what could be a huge summer blockbuster, Paramount’sTransformers 6, while also arriving two weeks before Disney and LucasFilm’sStar Warsspin-off centering on Han Solo. It will also open one week before Disney Pixar’s long-awaitedToy Story 4and two weeks before Universal’sJurassic World 2.

Entertainment Weeklyreported on the release date last night, although there are still no plot details that have surfaced yet. We last reported on the project this past August, when it was revealed that production is being eyed to begin in October. We still don’t have an exact production start date yet, but with the main cast members in place, filming could begin any day now.Jennifer Lawrencewas previously eyed for a role, but she is not attached to the project at this time.

Sandra Bullockleads a cast that also includesCate Blanchett,Helena Bonham Carter,Mindy Kaling,Anne Hathaway,Rihannaand rapper/actressNora Lum, a.k.a.Awkwafina. Earlier reports revealed thatElizabeth Bankswas set to come aboard, although it isn’t known if she is still attached to the project. If she isn’t, then there is one more role left to be cast of the eight main characters, not to mention supporting roles.

No plot details have been released forOcean’s Eightat this time. There have been rumors thatSandra Bullockis actually playing the ex-con sisterGeorge Clooney’s beloved character Danny Ocean from 2001’sOcean’s Eleven, 2004’sOcean’s Twelveand 2007’sOcean’s Thirteen. It hasn’t been confirmed ifGeorge Clooneywill be back as Danny Ocean, but it certainly seems possible.
