The news came while Kidman was paired with herBig Little Liesco-star Reese Witherspoon, viaVanity Fair, for a reunion for the series five years after the end of its second season. The duo discuss a few things across the nearly 14-minute video, but Kidman does let it drop that a third season ofBig Little Liesis in the works and Moriarty is working on getting the story right. The actress said:

“We’re moving fast and furious. Liane [Moriarty] is delivering the book. We’re in good shape.”

The news really is more of a status update because Kidman had previously confirmed that a third season was happening. In 2023, during a Q&A event at the CME Group Tour Championship, the actress let it casually drop thatsomething was in the works. Kidman was asked about one of her favorite roles, and she replied,“I loved Big Little Lies. We will be bringing you a third one, just FYI.” Given the fact that Kidman is also an executive producer on the project, she’d be in pretty good authority to know.
