James Gunn’sSupermanis releasing a trailer soon, but fans can wet their appetites a little bit as a new preview of the DCU film has been released. Along with the titular superhero, the film features a bevy of DC characters, but none have beenas prominent in the marketingthus far as Krypto. He seems to be a package deal with Superman, and despite not being a very good boy, audiences will likely fall in love with the character when the film hits theaters this summer.
A new still image fromSupermanhas been released, courtesy of Screen Rant. It features David Corenswet as the Man of Steel in what seems to be a tense conversation with his canine sidekick, Krypto, in the Fortress of Solitude. It’s been no secret that the superpowered dog from Krypton won’t be the best of boys, especially after thatfive-minute preview of the filmwas released in theaters earlier this year. Of course, we’re just speculating based on the image, but it is possible that this scene takes place shortly after Superman is healed by the sun. You can check out the new still below.

James Gunn Celebrates Mr Terrific With New Look at Edi Gathegi’s ‘Superman’ Character
The director took to social media to celebrate the comic debut of Mr. Terrific with a new behind-the-scenes look.
One of the most exciting aspects of the newSupermanimage is how detailed the Fortress of Solitude seems to be. More often than not, the icy home of Kal-El is not spacious enough to feel like anything more than a large office space. However, it seems Gunn wants to make the Fortress of Solitude into the ultimate home base of operations, akin to Batman’s Bat Cave. It looks as big as a mansion, and considering how many Kryptonians and droids are visiting the place, perhaps the “Solitude” part of the name was an afterthought in the design. Love it or hate it,Supermanis giving fansa fresh interpretation of the characterthat leans into the fantastical nature of the source material.

Early ‘Superman’ Reaction Points Toward Another Win for Warner Bros.
Supermanis a few months away from flying into theaters, but early reactions suggest that Warner Bros. has another hit on their hands afterA Minecraft MovieandSinnersdominated the box office in April. As biased as his review may be, Warner Bros. Pictures co-head Michael De Luca has beeneffusive with his praise for theSupermanreboot. Moreover, he recently revealed that marketing will begin to ramp up again in a big way soon. Of course, he does not get into specifics, but it is clear that the studio is mightily confident in Gunn’s vision, who “understood the assignment” when it came to rebooting the iconic character.
“We’ve seen an early cut of ‘Superman,’ & I don’t want to bury the lead, there’s a lot of marketing about to roll out ahead of its release, but he [Gunn] really understood the assignment.”

A release date has not been revealed for the nextSupermantrailer, but many speculate that it will arrive later this month. Gunn himself has hinted at the new preview being ready to go, so it is only a matter of time before DCU fans get their hands on it.
