Unfortunately, these new videos don’t give us our first look atLuke Skywalker, who hasn’t been featured in any of the trailers, photos or other bits of footage released thus far fromStar Wars: The Force Awakens. His absence has fueled several rumors about what he’s been up to sinceStar Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, none of which have been confirmed, although many are quite intriguing. We do know that Luke Skywalker will return inStar Wars: Episode VIII, under the direction ofRian Johnson.
Star Wars: The Force Awakensis expected to break the all time record for highest opening weekend at thebox office, which was set this summer byJurassic World, which earned $208.8 million during its opening weekend this June. Some have speculated thatStar Wars: The Force Awakenscould earn upwards of $300 million during its first weekend in theaters, and it has already set a record for highest pre-sales, with over $50 million in tickets sold. That record was set last month, breakingThe Dark Knight Rises' record of $25 million. That $50 million tally has surely gotten bigger since then, but we don’t have any updated figures as of yet.
