Netflix’s hit legal thriller,The Lincoln Lawyer, has done a great job reminding fans of what’s to come throughout its three seasons, with a fourth on the way. Its debut season premiered on August 13, 2025, and garnered an 80% Rotten Tomatoes score. The television production’s second season garnered a 91% RT score, with the third achieving a perfect 100%, a rating the showaims to maintain in the upcoming season. According to star Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Season 4 will be “the most emotional.”

During an interview withVariety, Garcia-Rulfo, who plays thelead character Mickey Haller, a recovering addict and criminal defense lawyer, said the new season was very emotional for him. Of course, he couldn’t give away any details, but fans can expect the season to be a heavy one.

It’s the most emotional season — heavy emotion — because of how we found him, and a lot of things happen, which I cannot say, but they’re very emotional for me. I told the showrunners even reading them before we start shooting, it is the one that I’ve enjoyed the most. I’ve all enjoyed all of them, but this one is the one that I’ve enjoyed the most because it has the most heaviness.

Mickey’s first ex-wife, Maggie McPherson, played by Neve Campbell, is a criminal prosecutor; his second ex-wife, Lorna Crane, played by Becki Newton, is his legal aid. She’s also engaged to Mickey’s go-to investigator, Dennis “Cisco” Wojciechowski, played by Angus Sampson. Meanwhile, Yaya DaCosta plays a criminal prosecutor, Andrea “Andy” Freemann, who becomes Mickey’s love interest.
