YoutuberShawn Kohnehas too, and he went so far as to create an elaborate inter-connected universe that covers practically all of his movies, with the exception of the period comedyThe Ridiculous 6. This humorous eight-minute video goes deep down the Sandler rabbit hole, and his work was even noticed by the actor’s regular writer,Tim Herlihy.
2015’s Biggest Movies Recreated inLEGO
Now that 2015 is completely behind us, the awards season is just starting to heat up, and many fans are looking back on the year that was before the Oscars air next month. If you want a more unconventional look at the year in movies,Toscano Brickshas created a wonderful three and a half minute video that showcases some of this year’s most memorable scenes through LEGOS. While theScreen JunkiesHonest Trailer crew normally focuses on movies, they decided to turn to the TV world this week with a six-minute examination ofMarvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.The video doesn’t necessarily criticize the show itself too much, but rather the constraints these creators and producers have to operate under, shoehorning tie-ins to theMarvel Cinematic Universeand much more. It’s an entertaining look at the series and its connections to the MCU, if you have six minutes to kill.
The Raid DirectorGareth Evans' Samurai Short Film
Last year, directorGareth Evanssaid fans would have to wait until either 2018 or 2019 forThe Raid 3, but it isn’t known what the director will be working on in the interim. Earlier this week, the filmmaker debuted a new untitled short film, which essentially serves as a five-minute pre-vis video, designed to showcase “the style and rhythm set out in [The Raid movies] while staying within the parameters of a PG-13 rating.” It certainly is a much different setting for the director, but it’s just as intriguing as his previous films.
