We spoke to English actorWilliam Moseleyduring the leadup to his new filmMurder Company, a World War II thriller out now that sees his heroic character leading an unlikely band of soldiers under the command of an imposing generalplayed by Kelsey Grammer. If Moseley looks familiar to any youthful millennials out there, that’s because he perhaps stole our hearts in the originalChronicles of Narniafilms. The actor recently reunited with his co-stars of that franchise for a cozy dinner, and images were shared on social media. So we had to ask if there were any plans in the works to return to the franchise.
“It would be a dream, I think for all of us,” Moseley told MovieWeb. “I talk to them all the time. It’s funny because, even if we didn’t see each other for like a year or something, I think we still feel really close to each other. I met Georgie [Henley] when she was six or eight; I think it was six. I met Anna [Popplewell] when she was 13. She’s now 36 this year. They’re like family, you know?”

Moseley continued:
“And I said to Skandar [Keynes], ‘Would you, if they ever asked us to come back and doNarnia?’ Because he works in politics now. He actually works for a conservative lobbyist in the U.K. He’s a very, very intelligent person… But he said he would come back, which would be cool…But it’s a bit like high school, you know? It was a great time. But I don’t think I’ll be back to high school, and I won’t be going back toNarniaanytime soon.”
William Moseley on Fighting in World War II for New Film Murder Company & Reuniting with Narnia Co-Stars
The Chronicles of Narnia star discusses his new World War II movie Murder Company with Kelsey Grammer and Pooch Hall.
Going from the Fantasy of Narnia to a True Untold Story About World War II
Murder Company
A group of Allied operatives is sent on a covert mission behind enemy lines during World War II. Their objective is to infiltrate a Nazi stronghold and gather critical intelligence. As they navigate the dangers of occupied territory, they encounter unexpected resistance and internal conflicts that test their resolve.
Years following the belovedNarniafilm adaptations, there’s now a new tale for Moseley to tell —thoughMurder Companyis hardly a fantasy, and very much based on a true story. “I actually didn’t know that much about it myself,” he told usabout the WWII era. “It can be quite confusing, like, ‘Which one was Dunkirk, which one was D-Day? What happened here? What happened there?’ And so I think it’s important to contextualize it for people, for modern audiences.” He continued:

“And although it’s historical, it’s also, I think, a quite fun film. It’s a true story. This is a story that hasn’t been told before. These were real guys who went on this mission that was basically undisclosed, you know? It was under wraps until now, so I wanted to give it my absolute best…Both my grandfathers fought during World War II. One of them was a paratrooper like [my character].”
Kelsey Grammer, also in the film, mentioned that his own grandfather was in World War II, and that he felt a personal connection to the story.
