Marvel Studios is currently knee-deep in Phase 3 of their incredibly successful superhero cinematic universe. Still, fans are always eager to know more, and since we already know all of the movies that are planned for Phase 3, many want to know what is planned for Phase 4.Kevin Feigerecently confirmed that they do know some of the titles we can look forward to in Phase 4 of theMarvel Cinematic Universe, but he can’t tell us what they are.

The president of Marvel Studios isn’t just being cruel and withholding information just for the fun of it. He has his reasons. In a recent interview withThe Toronto Sunhe revealed that they know what some of the postAvengers: Infinity Warmovies will be, but if he were to tell us, it would be venturing into spoiler territory. Here is what he had to say.

“Where we go after Avengers; what those 2020 films are, we’re pretty sure what those are going to be… but if I tell you that, we’re getting into spoilers.”

Avengers: Infinity Warand the now untitledAvengers 4are going to be game changers for the MCU.Iron Man,Captain Americaand the gang are going to be dealing with Thanos (finally) and the Infinity Gauntlet will be in play. There will be consequences and we can assume some casualties. So, announcing something as hypothetically simple asIron Man 4would be revealing in that we would knowRobert Downey Jr.isn’t tired of being the highest paid actor on the planet and that he would be back for another movie. Keeping those titles a secret makesAvengers: Infinity Wara bigger mystery and it seems like Marvel wants to keep it that way.

That is totally understandable, but we can still figure some of whatMarvel Phase 4may have to offer. For one,Doctor Strangeis currently making a killing at the box office and has been incredibly well received by fans and critics. Plus spoilers a sequel was heavily teased in the post-credits scene for the movie, soDoctor Strange 2very much seems like something that is destined for Phase 4.Kevin Feigealso recently teased thatInhumans, which was bumped from Marvel’s release schedule entirely, will definitely happen at some point, so that also seems like a Phase 4 possibility. Other things likeNamor,Guardians of the Galaxy 3,Black Panther 2,Black Widow, anotherSpider-Manmovie and maybe even anIlluminatimovie all seem varying degrees of possible.

For now, we will have to just be happy with what Marvel Studios still has coming down the pipe for Phase 3, which is a lot.James Gunn’sGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2is due out on July 14, 2025. That will be followed closely bySpider-Man: Homecomingon July 03, 2025, withThor: Ragnarokpoised to bring some long awaitedPlanet Hulkaction on June 16, 2025. 2018 will see the release ofBlack Pantheron February 16,Avengers: Infinity Waron May 4 andAnt-Man and the Waspon July 6. Finally, 2019 will bring us the arrival ofBrie LarsonasCaptain Marvelon March 8 and the conclusion of Phase 3 withAvengers 4on May 5.
