The full cast for Netflix’sMaster of the Universe: Revelationhas been revealed, withStar Warsicon Mark Hamill leading the way as Skeletor. Kevin Smith (Clerks) is heading up the show, which will serve as a direct follow-up to the classic 80s animated series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Smith has assembled an A-list voice cast for the episodic anime, which includes many familiar voices from his long career. Here’s the full breakdown.

As we can see, there is a lot to process there. Mark Hamill, aside from Luke Skywalker, is known for his voice work. Hamill played Joker onBatman: The Animated Seriesand has starred on shows likeRegular ShowandDark Crystal: Age of Resistance. Chris Wood, who Kevin Smith has worked with onSupergirl, will be our new He-Man. Smith’s frequent collaborator Jason Mewes, the other half of Jay and Silent Bob, is on board as well, with his daughter Harley Quinn Smith in on the action. We’ve also got the “one true Batman” Kevin Conroy on board, as well as Alan Oppenheimer, who was the original Skeletor.

Theseries was initially announced in Augustof last year. Interestingly enough, Netflix hastwo different He-Man showsin the works right now, and it looks like they will also play host to the live-action Masters of the Universe movie, which is set to begin filming soon. Kevin Smith, speaking aboutMasters of the Universe: Revelation, had this to say.

“Teddy Biaselli, our exec at Netflix, is an amazing man, and grew up on the franchise. Teddy’s big note and only note was, ‘When I was a kid, I did not realize this was campy. This was so serious to me, please just treat it serious. Treat it like Shakespeare…’ We went in with this mantra of, like, nobody is winking and nobody’s acting like this is weirdness. ManAtArms, Stinkor, or no, it’s all played incredibly Game of Thrones-straight.”

As far as style goes, it will have an anime look and feel. This is somethingNetflixhas been dabbling with a lot more in recent years. Kevin Smith, in looking for a comparison, said it will look a lot like theCastlevaniaseries.

“If you like the style of Castlevania, just put HeMan through that filter, and it has that feel and look to it. It’s anime style.”

There is no word currently on when the show will debut, but it’s in production now. Kevin Smith serves as showrunner, with Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), Tim Sheridan (Reign of the Supermen), Diya Mishra (Magic the Gathering) and Marc Bernardin (Alphas) writing the show.
