The CW’s hit seriesThe Flashreturns from its midseason hiatus tonight with the first episode of 2016,Potential Energy, airing at 8 PM ET. Following that episode, fans will be treated to two brand new superhero specials, one highlightingDC’s Legends of Tomorrowat 9 PM ET and another entitledJustice Leagueat 9:30 PM ET. To get fans ready for the second special,DC Filmshas launched a new Facebook page, which features brand new artwork that gives fans their first look atThe FlashandCyborg. Curiously, though, the artwork is missing one key member of theJustice League.

This artwork does not include the seventh and final member of theJustice League,Green Lantern, who will be featured in the big screen adventureGreen Lantern Corps., arriving in 2020. Warner Bros. has still not cast thissuperheroquite yet, but there have been rumors that the stand alone movie will include two iconic characters who serve asGreen Lantern, Hal Jordan and John Stewart. You may recall that, back in February,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicerevealed ourfirst lookatJason Momoa’sAquaman, which featured the tagline “Unite the Seven,” but this artwork is just one hero shy of doing so.

Justice League Concept Art

The artwork doesn’t feature any of the actual stars in costume, only artistic depictions of them, but it’s still not surprising thatGreen Lanternisn’t included here, especially since we don’t know if Hal Jordan or John Stewart will be part of theJustice League. It’s possible that the studio could actually announceGreen Lantern’s casting during tonight’s special, but we don’t have any confirmation that the announcement will happen then. WhileGreen Lantern Corps.doesn’t debut until 2020, the character is expected to appear inJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2, which starts production at the end of this year.
