Jurassic Parkis one of the biggest franchises of all time, but not all the movies from the saga has managed to conquer audiences, especially one from theJurassic Worldtrilogy. But it seems like its release on Netflix has helpedJurassic World: Fallen Kingdomto finally become a hit.
The 2018 movie directed by Juan Antonio Bayona was the sequel to the first movie in the revival of the franchise, which started in 2015 withJurassic World. The new saga tarred Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, a velociraptor trainer; Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, the operations manager of Jurassic World and Owen’s ex.

In the first film, the pair are forced to reunite after Claire’s nephews get lost in the middle of the theme park after the fearsome Indominus Rex escapes and unleashes chaos. Although the movie was not as highly acclaimed as the firstJurassic Parkinstallment, it was successful enough to get a sequel and enter into the highest-grossing films of all time Top 10.
Unfortunately, its continuation was not as well received.Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdomis currently one of the worst rated movies in theentire franchise on Rotten Tomatoeswith a 46% approval from critics and 48% from audiences. But now that the movie is available to watch on Netflix, it seems like its connecting way better with the audience.

Thestreaming platform published their Top 10of most watched speaking language films from August 21 to August 27, andJurassic World: Fallen Kingdomoccupies the sixth spot with a total of 4.7 million views. The movie had a budget of approximately $432 million dollars, and grossed a total of $1.310 billion, so despite the poor reviews it is considered a massive box office success.
