“This film is extremely personal to me. Not in a literal sense, but, there were many things that I identified with it that I connected to. “I think to me there was so many different themes that I connected with. It’s still so emotional when I watch the movie just that feeling of not knowing where home is and not knowing, even if you find it, if you can keep it and just assuming you’re gonna f**k it up. And even the relationship with Jayne Houdyshell and that feeling, I’ve recognized that feeling before like with therapist where you like feel seen and loved and understood and then you’re like, ‘Wait I pay you,’ and kind of having that heartbreaking revelation [Laughs]. So there were different things that I connected to, not on a literal sense.”
