Priyanka Chopra Jonasis set to make her comeback to Bollywood with astar-studded cast of female leadscalledJee Le Zaraa, which translates toLive a Little. The movie will be an all-female road trip film and was announced last year in August. Along with Chopra, the movie will also feature big Bollywood names like Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. In a recent interview, Chopra went on to say that her one condition to saying yes to this movie was that she betterget to do a big Bollywood-style dance number. She also shared that it has been a while since she has been in a film mouthing Hindi dialogues.
Taking to Instagram, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared:
“Let’s rewind, to me musing about wanting to do another Hindi movie ASAP, on an unusually rainy night in Mumbai in Nov 2019. But it had to be the right one - different, cool, never been done before… I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it!!Katrina, Alia, and I enthusiastically met in February 2020 (as seen in this picture), just before the world shut down, to discuss who we could trust to bring this vision to life for us and our choice was unanimous… Farhan and Ritesh, Zoya and Reema. We had all worked with@excelmoviesand@tigerbabyfilmsindividually so this seemed perfect. It just so happened that Farhan was working on a female road trip movie at the same time! Talk about all the stars aligning!!And here we are today…#JeeLeZaraa… it only took 3 years to align all our schedules but we stuck together and got it done! Possible Storyline
Although not official, what we know so far about the plot and from what we watched in the trailer, it seems thatJee Le Zaraais a sequel to the 2011 hitZindagi Na Milegi Dobara. In the film, three childhoodfriends reunite for a road tripacross Spain for a bachelor party. It features Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin. It is also similar to the 2001 hitDil Chahta Hai, starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshay Khanna.
InJee Le Zaraa, we expect to see the same type of shenanigans; the only difference is that instead of an all-male star cast, we will see the movie with three female leads. It’s still not clear whether we’ll beseeing an Indian destinationor an international holiday destination this time. Regardless, we’re certain wherever these three ladies set off to, it’s going to be an epic journey to watch.

Potential Release Date
We expect to seeJee Le Zaraahit the screensometime in the summer of 2023. However, this is complete speculation since the movie’s filming is set to commence sometime in September 2022. Based on that, we expect a minimum of a year for the film’s production and release.
Director Farhan Akhtar and his business partner Ritesh Sidhwani along with their production Excel Entertainment took to Twitter on Aug 15, 2025, to announce the movie, in which he goes on to say, “Thrilled to announce my next film as director and what better day than 20 years ofDil Chahta Haito do it. – I cannot wait to get this show on the road.” We’re also not sure whether the movie will be released on an OTT platform like Prime Video or Netflix or whether it will be released theatrically. But one thing we know for certain is that wherever the movie is released, we’re sure that it’s going to be a massive hit.
