“Danny Bryce (Jason Statham), one of the world’s deadliest special-ops agents, returns from self-imposed exile after his mentor, Hunter (Robert De Niro) is captured. Danny reassembles his former team of skilled commandos to launch a rescue mission, and also to infiltrate the highly feared military unit, the British Special Air Service. The mission will not be easy, for Danny and his team must cut their way through Spike (Clive Owen) and a team of assassins known as the Feather Men.”

Killer Elite Deserves a Second Chance (And It’s Free!)

WhileKiller Elitewas not well received at the time (it has just 27% on Rotten Tomatoes), the action thriller boasts solid performances from its stellar cast and is brimming with exciting and intense action sequences, including a brutal battle between Statham and Owen that ends with the former flipping onto his opponent while tied to a chair.

Jason Statham is now renowned for flying the flag for wonderfully no-nonsense action movies, and to the delight of fans, he has plenty more in the pipeline. The Stath will reunite with director David Ayer and writer Sylvester Stallonefor next year’sLevon’s Trade, which is based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Chuck Dixon. The action outing follows The Stath as Levon Cade, a former counter-terrorism expert who leaves his violent career behind to work in construction and be a good father. But, when a local girl goes missing, Levon is asked to return to his skills and hunt for her.

“Absolutely. I mean, I’m fascinated by the mythology of the beekeepers. We’ve cracked the door a little bit and seen what they can do. Now I want to know: who are they, where did they come from, and where are they going? And where did Jason come from in all this? There’s so much more to explore and it’s another opportunity to work with Jason.”
