This has not been a good year for trailers. TheGhostbustersreboot trailer is well on its way to becoming the most hated trailer of all time. And theWarcrafttrailers have not fared much better. Last night brought us the firstAssassin’s Creed trailer, and the reactions were mixed, to say the least. But amongst those fans waiting a lifetime to see this video game brought to the big screen, they simply didn’t understand whyKanye West’s song ‘I Am God’ was used as a soundtrack. Now, an enterprising fan has removed the track and replaced it with ‘better music’.

Many fans just didn’t think that Kanye West’s rap song belonged in a movie that is mixing sci-fi with the Spanish Inquisition. Some believe that the editor in charge of creating this first sneak peek chose the track on title alone and didn’t bother to even listen to the lyrics, which seem out of place for the storyline. While some have called the trailer ‘impressive’, there’s no denying that the music is quick to pull fans out of that experience. Something this youtube video rectifies.

The song ‘I Am God’ has Kayne West rapping about his lavish life style.Callum Lynchdoesn’t have time for that nonsense, though. He can’t worry about hookers and haters after a revolutionary technology unlocks his genetic memories, allowing him to experience the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. In the movie, Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

The first trailer forAssassin’s Creeddebuted onJimmy Kimmellast night. And the official page clearly shows fans are more in favor of the footage than against it. So far thesneak peekhas raked up 3,573,790 views, with 86,701 liking it and only 7,514 giving it a thumbs down. There’s no telling how much better it would have been received had theKanye Westtrack been left on the cutting room floor. But we suspect that some lesser fans of the franchise actually liked the music choice made by New Regency and 20th Century Fox.
