Last month, shocking allegations surfaced that Johnny Depp has been abusive to his wife,Amber Heard, which lead to the actress filing a restraining order against him while starting divorce proceedings. The actress was scheduled to appear at a deposition today, but she claimed that she had to fly to London for a costume fitting on the upcomingJustice Leaguemovie, where she’s set to play Mera. As it turned out, the actress never did go to London, reportedly because she had lost too much weight, due to stress from the divorce proceedings.
TMZreports that Amber Heard’s lawyers told the court that her client would be unable to attend the deposition that was scheduled for today, because she would be in New Jersey for a friend’s engagement party, and then she was flying to London for theJustice Leaguecostume fitting. However, the site spotted the actress in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and her reps claim that the studio canceled the fitting because the producers didn’t think she was “camera-ready.” She has reportedly lost 20 pounds due to “overwhelming stress.”
Warner Bros. hasn’t confirmed this or not, but it’s possible that with all of the legal trouble swirling around the actress, her role asMeramay be in jeopardy. She is also slated to play Mera, described as the “Khaleesiof the sea' in Warner Bros.' long-awaitedAquamanmovie, which starsJason Momoaand will be directed byJames Wan.
