On top of that, the show’s twists, turns, and shocking reveals make for some of the most devastating moments in any superhero project.

Blowing audiences' expectations out of the water,Invincibledoesn’t just gain its audience from its impactful storytelling and expertly developed characters, but what also keeps drawing fans back for more is the show’s incredibly brutal fight scenes. Whether it’s anevil Superman-type villain ripping another superhero’s torso in two, or an intergalactic warrior single-handedly destroying an entire team of superheroes, Prime Video’sInvincibleis relentless. And on that note, here are the most brutal fight scenes in the series.

Invincible - Titan

10Attack of Titan

When we first meet Titan robbing a bank, we think nothing of him. Sure, he has an awesome set of abilities where he can surround his body in armor made of rock, making him a sort of Juggernaut, but we never expect to see him again any time soon. That being said, we soon eat our words when we get to witness Titan brutally butchering and pounding a rival gang to death with ease. Titan walks through a barrage of bullets, throws a forklift at his enemies, and throws a pistol so hard at one of the gang members that it lodges in his mashed-up skull.

9Omni-Man and Hail Mary’s Rematch

How do you defeat the world’s most dangerous and indestructible superhero? The answer is with a drugged-up Kaiju. During Omni-Man and Hail Mary’s first bout, Hail Mary nearly defeated Omni-Man. So imagine how furious and powerful a drugged-up Hail Mary could be.

Their second rematch was incredibly brutal. Hail Mary kept pounding Omni-Man to the ground, before wrapping the all-powerful superhero up in his tentacles. It wasn’t until Omni-Man’s son, Invincible, came in to save his father that the fight ended. But even then, the two ended the battle bruised, scarred, and beaten.

8Omni-Man vs the Re-Animen

Omni-Man, themost powerful superhero on the planet, would easily take on a few Re-Animen right? Well, don’t bet money on it. The Re-Animen, as we have seen before, are deadly, even in small numbers, and they even pose a great challenge to Omni-Man when he was forced to take out an army of them. The scene is full of the usual body dismemberment and blood spatter, but what makes this scene so brutal, was when the Re-Animen begin biting Omni-Man’s face and tearing at his flesh. We really felt it.

7The Teen Team vs the Flaxans

The Teen Team’s first appearance was a violent one. While the Teen Team themselves never really ripped anyone in two, or decapitated anyone. The violence came from their enemy invaders, the Flaxans. Upon the Teen Team’s arrival, the Flaxans began slaughtering innocent civilians. They paint the city red by shooting, and exploding the bodies of civilians, and even throwing cars at them, squishing innocents and popping them like balloons.

But perhaps the most brutal scene, in this fight, is both visually brutal while also packing an emotional punch. This battle is essentially Invincible’s first real battle with any stakes. He attempts to save as many civilians as possible, but is never fast and clever enough to do so. When he does finally save someone, it isn’t long before they are left in a bloody pulp, in Invincible’s arms, teaching our hero the cost of being a hero, in perhaps one of the most brutal scenes in the series.

Invincible - Omni-Man vs Re-Animen

6Omni-Man Destroys an Entire Civilization

The moment Omni-Man sends the invading Flaxans back to their home planet, before destroying their planet, is devastating. It’s the first hint as to Omni-Man’s true intentions when looking back. When Omni-Man first ushered the words “Earth is not yours to conquer”, we assumed that it meant nothing but stating that he would always be around to protect Earth. But after finishing the first season of the show, the realization that Omni-Man instead means that Earth is his, and his alone to conquer, the moment is much more shocking and brutal.

But where the scene’s true brutality lies is when Omni-Man begins flying through every structure, building, and weapon on the Flaxans' home planet, decimating their entire civilization, and Omni-Man doesn’t bat an eye. Another hint at Omni-Man’s true intentions.

5Omni-Man vs the Immortal

During Omni-Man’s search for his son, he faced with a revived Immortal, the leader of the Guardians of the Globe, who Omni-Man murdered many episodes before. The Immortal, as his name suggests, is Immortal; he has lived for millennia, fighting in many wars and conflicts. The hero harbors invulnerability, flight, super-strength, and enhanced speed. He was a threat to Omni-Man before Immortal’s death, but now Immortal has returned with a vengeance.

He speeds at Omni-Man with vengeance in his eyes, and anger flowing through his veins. He grapples, punches, kicks, and pummels Omni-Man numerous times, before popping his thumb in Omni-Man’s eyes, where he begins squeezing and squeezing, until Omni-Man grows tired and rips the hero in two, killing him once more. Sure, this moment and fight scenes are viscerally brutal, but when Omni-Man rips the Immortal in two, it was in front of a live television broadcast, where the world now knows the villainy of Omni-Man.

Omni-Man

4Omni-Man vs the Soldiers

Omni-Man is a terrifying, powerful, and unpredictable villain. We saw that in the show’s first episode, where he murdered the Guardians of the Globe, Earth’s mightiest superheroes. However, when the first season began to draw to a close, Omni-Man began going full Terminator, searching for his wife and son, in order to convince them to take over the world with him.

Upon returning to his home, he quickly finds out that his wife and son have left. The house is empty, or so he thought. Omni-Man suddenly hears a creak in the floorboard, so he quickly flies over in that direction and grabs an invisible soldier by the head before slamming it to the floor, sending bits of the soldier’s brains and face all over Omni-Man’s house. Omni-Man then gets bombarded with bullets from other invisible soldiers. He then begins slaughtering them all. Shoving a rifle through a soldier’s face, pushing one through his kitchen island, tearing him in half, and flying into two others, forcing them to explode on impact with nothing but an arm that Omni-Man is still holding. The scene is brief, but it’s one of the best in the show.

The fight begins with audiences expecting Titan and Invincible to take down some lowly-paid supervillains with ease. Especially when the Teen Team shows up. However, we never expected the scene to be so brutal, and for our heroes to suffer such a defeat. The villains, specifically the all-powerful Battle Beast, pummel both Titan and Invincible to a pulp, sending the latter into a long coma. Likewise, Battle Beast defeats and nearly kills Monster Girl, peeling the skin off her face, and leaving nothing but her skull showing. Black Samson was next to feel Battle Beast’s wrath, as the hero quickly tasted defeat.

Our heroes are all left defeated, lying in their own blood, and they, along with the audience, have no idea what just happened. To put a final cherry on top, there is a moment in the scene where Invincible looks up, and sees Omni-Man just witnessing the brutality unfold, without stepping in.

2Omni-Man Slaughters the Guardians of the Globe

For those who haven’t read the comics, this moment is one of the most shocking in TV animation history. After a pretty traditional superhero TV show opening, with Invincible learning his powers, none of us expected the show to take such a left turn so quickly. This moment laid the groundwork for the rest of the show, moving forward and setting the tone for what to expect.

The scene sees the Guardians of the Globe gathered in their headquarters, where they all receive a distress call telling them all to meet there. After none of the Guardians admit it was them, Red Rush notices something flying toward the Immortal, and Red Rush pushes the Immortal out of the way, only to reveal that it was Omni-Man. The team begins taking on Omni-Man, before Omni-Man grabs Red Rush by the head, crushing his skull like a watermelon. Omni-Man then whips Darkwing to the ground numerous times, turning his corpse into a featherless pillow.

Omni-Man punches his fist through Green Ghost’s face, before using her lifeless body as a shield against Aquarus' water barrage. War Woman begins bludgeoning Omni-Man with her mace, before Omni-Man takes control of said mace, lodging it in Aquarus' skull. The fight ends with Omni-Man breaking War Woman’s neck before plunging his hand through Immortal’s stomach and decapitating the Guardians' leader with the back of his hand.

1Omni-Man vs Invincible

Few scenes on TV are asbrutal and darkas this. The scene is full of blood and gore, but like many of the brutal fights inInvincible, this scene packs the biggest and most shocking emotional punches in the whole show. Seeing Omni-Man beat up his own son to a bloody pulp on the ground is heartbreaking enough. But throwing his son through waves of innocent civilians so that Invincible can learn that human life doesn’t matter is messed up.
