ThoughHawkeye feverisn’t as intense this week as it was last week, the Russo Brothers are comforting those who have been eatingAvengers: Infinity Warposters and getting Hawkeye tattoos, waiting for Jeremy Renner updates. As it turns out, Clint Barton’s story will be more of a “long play,” according to the Russo Brothers, which still doesn’t clear much up, but it does imply that his role will stretch acrossInfinity Warand the still untitledAvengers 4. All will be revealed in a few weeks, but there’s still quite a bit of speculation around.

In a new interview, the Russo Brothers spoke about Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, maintaining that, “all will be revealed.” The directing duo are highlighting thatfans need to be patient, which should be pretty evident considering how long they made fans wait to see any type of footage from the highly anticipatedInfinity War. There’s only a few weeks to go, but fans are starting to get a little nutty. Joe Russo explains.

“We keep saying, Patience is a virtue. We did not forget the twice-nominated Jeremy Renner. We cooked up a story for him that is a little bit of a long play. Not a short play.”

Hawkeye’s story will be told soon, but that’s not stopping the speculation from continuing to spread. Some fans are under the impression that Hawkeye will join up with Ant-Man, who has also been absent from any of theInfinity Warpromotional material. From there, it gets a little foggy, but some believe that the Time Stone will come into play with Clint Barton and Scott Lang possibly retrieving it. As the Russo Brothers keep saying, “all will be revealed…”

There’s still a lot about the plot ofInfinity Warthat is unclear, which is just the way that the Russo Brothers and Marvel Studios want it.Not even the cast has seen a finished cut of the movie yet. For fans and cast, the first 30 minutes of the movie is the most that any of them have seen, and it will remain that way until the world premiere on April 23rd. Still, the 23rd is only a few days away from when the general public will be able to see the mightyInfinity War.

While the Russo Brothers and the cast are staying tight-lipped, the promotional campaign has been in full force, offering tiny little hints of the big picture that won’t make sense until afterInfinity Warhas been released. Thelevel of secrecy around the projectis pretty astonishing, even for a Disney affiliated project, puttingThe Last Jedito shame in the secrecy department. Even with the first 30 minutes ofInfinity Warhaving been screened, it’s pretty amazing that more hasn’t leaked out.
