During an interview withDen of Geek, producerFrank Marshallclarified that they don’t plan on replacingHarrison Fordquite yet, although he did hint that a different character could take over the franchise, some day.

“(We’re) not doing theBondthing where we’re going to call somebody elseIndiana Jones. We have to figure this out. There are a lot of rumors. We haven’t even sat down to talk about Indy yet… at some point we’ll sit down. But there’s a bunch of people who could probably take the baton.”

Earlier this month, directorSteven Spielbergsaid he wants to makeIndiana Jones 5withHarrison Ford, but it’s still unclear when that might actually happen. There was a rumor that Disney is planning a 2018release dateforIndiana Jones 5, but that rumor was also shot down byFrank Marshall. The 73-year-oldHarrison Fordwill next be seen reprising his iconic role as Han Solo inStar Wars: The Force Awakens, arriving in theaters December 18.
