After being introduced in 2013’sMan of Steel,Henry Cavillreturns as Superman in next year’s highly-anticipatedBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which the actor revealedover the weekendwill make “cinematic history.” During another interview withThe Anglophile Channel,Henry Cavillwas asked how many more times he would like to play Superman on the big screen. “As many as it takes. I love the character. I love working with Warner Bros. and what they’re doing with it, and so fingers crossed I’ll be able to tell the story for many, many years to come.”

Back in October, Warner Bros. announced a massive expansion of theirDC Comicsmovie slate, includingSuicide Squad,Wonder Woman,Justice League Part 1,The Flash,Aquaman,Shazam!,Justice League Part 2,CyborgandGreen Lantern. We knowHenry Cavillwill certainly be back forJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2, with the entire team reportedly set to assemble at the end ofBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it isn’t known if Superman will pop up in any of the other superhero adventures.
Productionwrapped in DecemberonBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with thefirst trailerreportedly set to debut in February, attached to prints of Warner Bros.‘Jupiter Ascending. Warner Bros. is also reportedly developing anotherSupermanadventure to debut at some point before the year 2020, but we have no specific details on that project yet.Zack Snyderwill direct bothJustice League Part 1andJustice League Part 2, so it seems unlikely he’d have time to squeeze in another Superman movie.
