The movie also fared well with critics, and currently has a 77% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

His first foray into live-action was the script forJack the Giant Slayer. He is also writing theShazam!script for DC Comics and Warner Bros.
In the firstGoosebumpsmovie, young Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) is upset about moving from the big city to a small town. But he finds a silver lining when he meets his beautiful neighbor Hannah (Odeya Rush). The teen is surprised to learn that Hannah’s mysterious father is R.L. Stine (Jack Black), the famous author of the best-sellingGoosebumpsbook series. When Zach accidentally unleashes the monsters from the fantastic tales, it’s up to Stine, his daughter and Cooper to return the beasts back to the books where they belong. It is not yet known at this time if other original cast members such asDylan MinnetteandOdeya Rushwill also be back.
