Randall Park
Randall Parkco-starred in Netflix’sAlways Be My MaybewithBeef’s Ali Wong, who was a writer and guest onFresh Off the Boat. In late-2022, Park played the lead character in theBlockbusterseries for Netflix, which was not picked up for a second season. He was also part of Netflix’sBig Mouthspin-off series,Human Resources, voicing a main character alongside Aidy Bryant and Keke Palmer.
Reprising his role as Agent Jimmy Woo fromAnt-Man and The Wasp, Park appeared in the Disney+ series,WandaVision. Constance Wu
When it was announced thatFresh Off the Boathad been renewed for a season,Constance Wushared a series of tweets expressing her frustration. This prompted intense social media backlash, with Wu being told that she had “become a blight on the Asian-American community.” She clarified her tweets by revealing that the renewal ofFresh Off the Boatmeant she had to drop out of a passion project, but there was more to the story than her critics initially thought. She lateropened up about her traumasurrounding a senior producer that had sexually harassed, intimidated, and threatened her during the first two seasons of the show.
Outside ofFresh Off the Boat, Wu, of course, portrayed the lead character in 2018’sCrazy Rich Asians. The groundbreaking success of the film led to sequels swiftly being announced, but it’s still not known when they will be hitting theaters. After taking a break from Hollywood, she returned with key roles in the musical comedy film,Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, and in the Prime Video action thriller series,The Terminal List. In 2023, she voiced Daphne Blake in theVelmaseries for HBO Max.
Hudson Yang
Unlike the character he portrayed onFresh Off the Boat,Hudson Yangwas admitted into Harvard University. In a celebratoryInstagrampost, Yang shared the hashtag; “Harvard2025.” We can imagine he is very busy, but he has found the time to do a few movies, albeit only appearing in small roles. He portrayed Cal in the Mark Dacascos movie,Run & Gun, and Rodrick’s replacement drummer in the animatedDiary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules.
Forrest Wheeler
Emery onFresh Off the Boat,Forrest Wheelerhas yet to appear in major productions after the series finale. Wheeler’s Instagram, however, has shown him all grown-up, hanging out with friends, visiting museums, and attending basketball and hockey games. In an interview withBackstage, he discussed his love for martial arts and his dream role to be “in an action-comedy movie.” Wheeler has already voiced a young Sub-Zero inMortal Kombat: Legacy, a character who has always been a formidable fighter. Perhaps someday, Wheeler will get the chance to display his martial arts skills on-screen.
Ian Chen, who portrayed Evan Huang onFresh Off the Boat, has done voice work for the Disney Junior series,Fancy NancyandThe Rocketeer. Like his TV dad, Randall Park, he joined the DC Extended Universe before the final season ofFresh Off the Boat. Chen was cast as Eugene, a member of the Shazam Family inShazam!andShazam! Fury of the Gods. When Eugene transformed into his adult superhero self, Chen swapped places with Ross Butler (13 Reasons Why,Swimming with Sharks).
Lucille Soong
Lucille Soonghas appeared in many productions over her 60-year-plus career, which has includedFreaky FridayandDesperate Housewives. According to IMDb, Soong’s only role after the conclusion ofFresh Off the Boathas been Dang Hu in Disney’sRaya and the Last Dragon.

Moving on from playing Honey Ellis,Chelsey Crispportrayed Dwayne Johnson’s campaign manager Casey on NBC’sYoung Rock. The show featured Randall Park as a future version of himself in the year 2032.
