Seth MacFarlane’s foul-mouthed teddy bearTed’s second season is moving closer, and a new update on the production may have given an insight into how far along Season 2 actually is. Afterbecoming Peacock’s biggest original show,Ted’s continuation on the small screen was inevitable. The show takes viewers back in time, to when John Bennett and Ted attend college and get up exactly the kind of things any teenager and talking bear duo would get up to.

Season 2 will continue the pair’s story as they face new trials and tribulations as they negotiate their lives in the best way they can. Max Burkholder stars as John in the series, taking over from Mark Wahlberg, who plays the older John in the original movies, with MacFarlane reprising his voice role as Ted.

The show was officially confirmed to be getting a second season last month, and now Scott Grimes – who plays Uncle Matty in the show – has delivered the first news about the series since the announcement was made. On hisInstagram, Grimes shared a behind the scenes image from the script read-through, suggesting that cameras are almost ready to get rolling on the new episodes. Check out his post below, with its tease of Uncle Matty being a little indecent in the show’s return.

Can Ted Season 2 Continue the Runaway Success of the Prequel?

While season 1 was a hit for Peacock,Tedseason 2 has the chance to achieve what the movie arm of the fuzzy franchise failed to do – continue to please fans. WhileTed 2was by no means a flop at the box office, it was certainly a disappointment when put up alongside the $549 million haul of the 2012 original.

Ted 2took just $215 million at the box office.

While Ted’s venture onto the small screen was stillfull of the same juvenile humorthat struck a chord in the first movie, the new dynamic of the series, which didn’t just focus on John and Ted’s relationship but gave time to the rest of the Bennett family, felt fresh and new to many of those either rediscovering the crude charms of the franchise or coming across them for the first time.

The actors chat up creating their hilarious new characters on the long-awaited Ted series, set in the 1990s.

So far, there has been very little mentioned about the direction Season 2 will take, but with the first season proving to be a hit, it would be foolish to mess with the formula too much. Clearly, there will be new social catastrophes, public humiliations, and any number of awkward and inappropriate goings-on when Ted struts his stuff again, and if his second outing is as successful as the first, then this will surely not the last time we will see a new season heading into production.
