With the new season of Netflix’sStranger Thingsjust around the corner, a new clip has arrived from the MCM Comic Con in London, which features an introduction by Millie Bobby Brown. It isn’t specified if this scene is in fact from theStranger Things Season 2 premiere, or if it’s from an episode later on this season. This clip may pose more questions than answers, though, since the scene in question features Millie Bobby Brown’s now-iconic character Eleven inside the Upside Down.
Eleven has been locked in theUpside Downsince the end of Season 1, when she sacrificed herself to save her friends. This scene shows her finding a portal back to the real world, which seems to be on a wall in one of the Hawkins, Indiana schools. Eleven is seen reaching her hand through the portal, coming through the other side in the school, which no on is at since it’s night time. Eleven realizes she can’t get out through that small opening, and uses her considerable, nosebleed-inducing powers to make the portal bigger so she can make her escape. There are no other monsters or other creatures and/or character seen with Eleven in this scene, but hopefully we’ll get to see an extension of this scene in another clip as we get closer to the October 27 premiere.
All of the episode titles for this new season had previously been revealed, but last last week, a new video surfaced that indicated some of theStranger Things Season 2 episode titleshave changed. The second episode was previously entitledThe Boy Who Came Back to Life, but now it’s calledTrick Or Treat Freak, with other new episode titles includingWill the Wise,Dig Dug, andThe Spy. No titles were given yet for the last three episodes, which are now only known as Chapter 7, Chapter 8 and Chapter 9.
Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer teased thatStranger Things Season 2 ends on a cliffhanger, although they wouldn’t offer any specifics on the ending of this highly-anticipated season. While Netflix hasn’t officially ordered a third season of the hit show yet, given how enormously popular the first season was, and how highly-anticipated this new season is, a third season is practically inevitable. The returning cast includes Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) and Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), with adult stars Winona Ryder returning as Joyce Byers and David Harbour coming back as Sheriff Hopper.
Speaking of Eleven, there has been some controversy swirling around this character, but not for anything related to the series itself. With Halloween approaching, a number of “sexy Eleven costumes” have begun springing up at online retailers, which have become quite controversial since they sexualize a character played by 13-year-old actress Millie Bobby Brown.
