The FX seriesFargois finally ready to return to the screen. The highly acclaimed series based on the equally successful movie written, directed and produced by Ethan and Joel Coen. The main elements from the film were taken by Noah Hawley, who mix them to create a tv series back in 2014. Released back in 1996, film followed the story of Jerry Lundegaard, a car salesman who’s financially broke and decides to fake his wife kidnapping, to ask for many for her family to get her back. However, the plan goes sideways as the Chief Police gets involve. Fargo starred Frances McDormand, William H. Macy, and Steve Buscemi among many other major stars.
The first season of theFargoseries starred Billy Bob Thornton, Allison Tolman, Colin Hanks, and Martin Freeman. After a car accident, assassin Lorne Malvo arrives to Bemidji, Minnesota and starts a friendship with a local insurance salesman. When a series of murders begin to shake the city, police officers Molly Solverson and Gus Grimly attempt to discover what’s happening. For season two, the show took the audience back to 1979, to follow the story of Peggy and Ed Blumquist, who accidentally kill the son of the leader of a local criminal family. Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Plemons, Jean Smart and Ted Danson led the cast.

Season three arrived in 2017 and starred Ewan McGregor, Carrie Coon, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Thewlis, and Goran Bogdan. The story centered on Ray Stussy and Nikki Swango, a couple who ends up involved in a double murder case after a failed robbery attempt to Ray’s brother. In 2020 came the fourth season, which took place in 1950 and followed two criminal groups in Kansas City that face each other to control the business. It starred Chris Rock, Jessie Buckley, Jason Schwartzman, Ben Whishaw, and Jack Huston.
And now, season five is ready to go.

Fargo Season 5 First Look Teases a Mysterious New Case
FXhas finally unveiled a first look to Fargo’s next season, which is now due to land on the network on November 21. The new episodes star Juno Temple, John Hamm, Joe Keery, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Lamorne Morris, Richa Moorjani, Dave Foley,David Rysdahl, Sam Spruell, Jessica Pohly, Nick Gomez, and Lukas Gage. Although details about the plot have been kept under wraps,we do know that the new storyis set in 2019, and will take place in Upper Midwest, with a kidnapping being part of the story once again. Here’s the official description of the upcoming season:
“Fargo has traveled through decades, cities and families, and the fifth installment will be no different: Set in 2019, when is a kidnapping, not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?”
Fargois one of Hawley’s most distinguished projects along withBonesandLegion. He’s currently working on the expansion of theAlienuniverse, developing a television sci-fi series based on the popular franchise that started in 1979 with the acclaimed movie directed by Ridley Scott.
