The new season ofFairfaxwill startstreamingthis summer.Prime Videohas just released a first look clip for season 2 of the adult animated series, which will “bring back our favorite clout-chasing friends for more quests to find their true selves while navigating the struggles of being middle school teens.” All eight episodes of season 2 will drop on Friday, June 10, only on Prime Video. Fairfaxs created and executive produced by longtime friends Matthew Hausfater, Aaron Buchsbaum, and Teddy Riley. The series stars Skyler Gisondo (“Dale”), Kiersey Clemons (“Derica”), Peter S. Kim (“Benny”), and Jaboukie Young-White (“Truman”). The gang-gang is back for more fun in season 2 of this irreverent animated comedy following the misadventures of four middle schoolers looking to earn their place in the culture. It’s a modern look at the timeless struggle to fit in and stand out, hold on to your ride-or-die crew, and kiss your first crush - who may or may not be A.I.
Alongside Hausfater, Buchsbaum, and Riley, additional executive producers include Jon Zimelis and Jason U. Nadler for Serious Business (@midnight); Peter A. Knight (Bojack Horseman); and Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse (Big Mouth). The artist Somehoodlum, who designed the characters for the series, serves as a consulting producer alongside the pop/internet culture clothing and media brand Pizzaslime.

Fairfax Is Inspired by True Events
“The three of us all grew up in LA, specifically on Fairfax Avenue, and we have watched the block evolve into this kind of hub of streetwear and pop culture,” Riley said of where the concept of the series came from, perBubble Blabber. “And we just felt like nobody had done a series about this yet that there wasn’t a show that explored the internet 2021 culture in a way that this show does. And you know, from there, it was just about finding our way in and then we landed on this group of kids that were really reflective of our friends growing up are the writers and everybody else involved in the show.”
Buchsbaum added, “There are obviously a number of shows about Los Angeles, but they’re all generally from the perspective of Hollywood and what it’s like to be a star. And I think for us growing up in Los Angeles, like that’s not what it was like. So it was a really nice opportunity to show another side of Los Angeles, specifically Fairfax, which is kind of like our cultural hub in the block. I think a number of people could feel a foreign and we wanted to have Dale serve as our audience’s eyes and be ushered into this really fantastic world that they would then see is, like, completely universal and relatable and would speak to them in some way.”
